Week ten of the 2012 NFL season is upon us, and the Baltimore Ravens will be playing host to the Oakland Raiders in an East Coast vs West Coast matchup. Coach John Harbaugh continued his new injury reporting ways in the aftermath of the team being fined a few weeks ago, as there are 16 players on this week's injury report.
Out of the 16 players on the injury report, six were listed as full participants, five limited participants and five that did not practice:
- Full Participants – S Sean Considine (chest), LS Morgan Cox (shoulder), ILB Dannell Ellerbe (finger), NT Ma'ake Kemoeatu (knee), S Bernard Pollard (chest), and OLB Terrell Suggs (ankle).
- Limited Participants – LB Josh Bynes (thigh), WR Jacoby Jones (toe), T Michael Oher (ankle), WR David Reed (knee), and CB Jimmy Smith.
- Did Not Practice – DE Pernell McPhee (thigh), DT Haloti Ngata (shoulder), S Ed Reed (shoulder/knee), G Bobbie Williams (knee), and G/T Marshal Yanda (ankle).
Of the limited participants and did not practice players, there are a few whose status is still uncertain for this Sunday. Ngata, in my opinion should be given the week off to rest up for a tough second half of the season, as we are all capable of seeing that he has not been himself the last couple of games while dealing with the shoulder. McPhee missed last week's game and his status is uncertain for the Raiders game. Both Williams and Yanda suffered injuries during the Browns game, but Harbaugh stated Monday that Williams and Yanda would likely get some rest during the week, so I anticipate they will both be ready to go. Lastly, Reed is most likely just receiving some rest as well, and nothing has been provided or said that would lead us to think he will not be able to play on Sunday.
Baltimore will look to heal up a little bit during the week, before hosting the Oakland Raiders this Sunday, where the Ravens will be looking to win back-to-back games and head into their HUGE matchup with Pittsburgh next week with the lead in the AFC North.
