In a surprise move, the Baltimore Ravens fired their offensive coordinator Cam Cameron today, and have placed Jim Caldwell as the offensive coordinator going forward.

Cameron was brought to the Ravens in 2008 when head coach John Harbaugh came aboard and has been scrutinized to no end for his entire tenure here, especially this season. Baltimore's inconsistency on offense this season has been a hot topic all year and fans have been calling for this move everyday all day. Cameron has been the offensive coordinator for a team that has gone 53-24 in the regular season and 5-4 in the playoffs since he came to Baltimore in 2008 and have made the postseason all four years he has been with the Ravens, and likely a fifth straight this season as Baltimore has all but clinched a playoff spot.

The move comes as a surprise this late in a season when the team is 9-4 and about to play their biggest game of the season this Sunday against the Denver Broncos that could decide the number two seed in the AFC playoff race. Fans will be pleased, at least for a week as the Cam Cameron era has come to an end in Baltimore.
